Expedition Everest involves hiking in extreme altitude past Everest Base Camp to Kala Patthar - which stands at a whopping 5,545 metres. Why am I doing this? I am undertaking this incredible challenge in order to raise money for Childreach International who believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential in life. Childreach International work with communities in various developing countries and improve education and healthcare systems, as well as provide greater child protection and rights.  They have many successful Nepalese projects, and the Expedition Everest team will be visiting  one in particular to see the difference all of our dedicated fundraising makes to these children's lives.

My personal target is £2000, and it does not include flights or agency fees as many of these challenge events do (I will be paying for flights myself). Over 60% of the money I raise will go directly to the children and the remaining donations will be used to provide locals with jobs (i.e., porters, guides, cooks etc) and so all of the money raised is going straight to an incredibly worthwhile cause.

If you are unable to make the Boot Camp but would still like to donate, you can follow the link below, or text 'UNLOCK 111356' to 70007 to donate £3 - simple!
